Work is Life

In the USA 64.1 percent of the people have jobs; most of them work nine hours a day (Employment Situation Summary). Work is the biggest part of your life, whether it's school for kid or working everyday for grown-ups. The short story "The Hundredth Dove" by Jane Yolen demonstrates how your job can haunt you for the rest of your life.

Work is a large part of life. If you love your work but it doesn't support your life, you may be stuck in a lousy house. On the complete opposite side, if you hate your work but you are being paid thousands, you may end up having no life other than work. Hugh, main character, was a fowler for the king’s high table; he was as efficient as the Ford Fiesta being able to kill one bird with one shot until one day when the king asked him to get 100 doves. He captured the first 99 doves without a problem until the last dove; this dove was the only white dove and had slipped through his before he could capture the bird. When he caught this dove, the bird started to talk to him saying let me go. Instead of letting the bird go, he executed the animal; he was never able to kill a dove again. This is like when a pro athlete almost get hurt and is not able to play at the same level for the rest of the game.

Work is a large part of your life, but it shouldn’t be your whole life. Some people work so much that they get addicted to work and they cannot stop working; these people are called workaholics. In this story work was such a large part of his life that when the bird was talking to him, he couldn’t hunt again. This didn’t just change his work but then he started to leave food out for the birds. My grandpa had the same problem when he retired from being CEO of his company; he would spend all of his time making rivers and trails at his hunting property.

You spend most of your life work if you are a CEO or a Program manager. But it really doesn’t matter what you do in your job but more what you do with you time. You really want to be known for what you do in your free time verses what you do when you’re working.

No No I can't there has to be a way not to listen to the chicken wing but it still called to be.

But at the end I could pull through and didn't have the teriyaki chicken wing and had a disappointing brocciol dish it would have been better to just have eaten the chicken wing.

The year was 2081. Nick M just learned how to add and was now a freshman in high school. He was playing black jack on his ipod during an assignment that MRS. Lindsay Olewinski assigned. This assignment was to write about the year 2151 and you could write about anything. Because of Nicks ADHD he was not even paying attention to the teacher instead he was staring Steven the garbage man of the month. Who had managed to get wedged in a garbage container while trying to sit on it. It took a couple of minutes but Steven got out just to see the wealthy moron Nick Knoke who was the first famous person for discovering that the Justin Bieber hair flip can cause death.

When Nick drove by the only thing he was screaming at his chauffeur Ashton was "If you crashed I have rigged the toilet in the limo to shot you." This really didn't bother Nick he was use to being screeched at by his teachers. He thought it was funny that Nick K rigged a toilet. Because of this even that Nick M just saw he finally had to write about.

So he turned on his Ipad 111 and started to get to his blog. Then he saw the best video game creature of all time Austin B, had just made a game where you could create a world of your own and invent new things. This was the the biggest game and most complex game it took up 250G. When Nick was about to click on the link for the game Mrs. Lindsay Olewinski walked by and asked nick "What the main character in Night Hoops."

Nick Whitley replied "My brain is currently disconnected please leave me alone or come back at a latter time." This statement made the teacher vary mad so to that statement She replied looks like we need to read a couple of chapters today if you can't even name the main character.

Weakend

Umpa lumpa, the best way to describe the four foot tall ref we had last Friday. This ref was the laziest, shortest and fattest person in the building the only thing she would do is blow the whistle and point into a detection. She would get mad when we would get mad when anyone asked here a question.

The school bus drove around the block on the first day of school. Kids excitedly run towards their stops. For most kids the first day of school is an exhilarating day, the day of a new beginning, a time to see all of your friends. However, this was not the case for Melinda. She was a depressed girl whose life was a mess. All of her friends hated her. This kind of life makes a day feel like a week and a year like an eternity. A life where everything is boring and nothing changes. The story "Speak" written by Laurie Halse Anderson is a book that illustrates if you do nothing to change your life or what people think about you, nothing will change.

How would you feel going to your first day of high school knowing that not one student would like you or talk to you? You know that you are a outcast. You are not with a group of outcasts, you are a lone outcast. This is Melinda's reality since the party incident.

All people make mistakes in life; people will judge you on the mistake and how you deal with it. One mistake as big as Melinda's, was an umpire in baseball called a guy safe and that one hit on the 9th inning with 2 outs stop Galarraga from getting a perfect game. The umpire after the game told Galarraga that he made a mistake and he was forgiven. Melinda kept what happened to her a secret from all the people at the party. If she would have told them what happened they probably would have forgiven her.

Everyone hates the mistake you make right a way but the will forgive you over time. It is drastically worse to be depressed. When you are depressed there is nothing wrong with you it is just how you view your self. When you are depressed no one can help you, you need to change how you think of life. It is a proven fact that happy people live 10% longer than sad.

The book speak is a moving book with one of most annoying character that you want to hit but it show a point of how nothing will change unless you make people change what they think of you. Now what are you going to do to change how people think of you.

Golf

Most golfers that spend hours practicing with their hundred dollar clubs have a dream of going pro. One tournament you have to finish in the top 10 is the Wisconsin amateur. This event was held at Merrill Hills Country Club in Waukesha. If you ever played at Merrill Hills you would agree that due to the narrow fairways, with extremely fast greens, it is one of the hardest courses in Wisconsin.
Every golfer thinks the course they play is hard until they play Merrill Hill Country Club. One problem you’ll notice if you miss the fairway is the trees. To make this shot worst, the rough hides the ball. If you are lucky enough to find your ball you will be stuck with a shot you have to keep under ten yards unless you want to attempt to go through the trees. At Merrill it doesn’t matter how far you hit it Wisconsin Golfer explained it at trying to hit a golf ball in a hallway.
If you get stuck with a downhill putt, you’ll be lucky to keep the ball on the green. Most of the greens have a back to front slant. With a back to front slant will make a downhill chip or putt that will not stop by the hole. The hardest chip to land on target is uphill chips. Even if you land it near the hole the ball won’t be going fast enough into the green to stay there. If there is too much backspin on the ball thanks to the back to front slant it could end up of the green.
None of the 300 Amateurs that golfed Merrill Hills shoot under par. To be invited to this tournament you would have to one of the best 300 golfers in Wisconsin one of these golfers shoot a 97 my dad can beat that. The winner of this tournament stared his round with a three putt triple bogey. When winner finished his fourth round he was four over par.
You would agree that due to the narrow fairway, with fast greens, Merrill Hill Country Club is one of the hardest courses you ever seen but if you don’t believe me you are in for the hardest round of your life.
